About HIRE the Kids
Meet James Guy
Hire the Kids didn’t start as a business idea.
It started as a decision about the kind of father I wanted to be.
When my son was born, I began thinking differently about responsibility. Not as a future conversation. Not as something school would eventually handle. But as something that needed to be formed intentionally.
I wasn’t just building a business.
I was building a household standard.
And the question that stayed with me was simple:
How do I raise a financially confident child inside a real business — before habits form and adulthood arrives?
That question changed everything.
From Exposure to Structure
Like many business owners, I had heard about hiring your kids. Most conversations focused on tax benefits. Very few focused on structure. Almost none explained how to implement it correctly.
I didn’t want a shortcut.
I wanted a system.
So I studied. I asked questions. I worked closely with my CPA and researched labor laws. I made early mistakes and corrected them. Over time, what started as experimentation became a structured, compliant framework.
What I realized was this:
The opportunity wasn’t just tax efficiency.
It was participation.
Real Business. Real Work. Real Responsibility.
When I hired my son, it wasn’t symbolic.
He handled real tasks inside our home-based business — organizing records, preparing materials, assisting with operations. The work was legitimate. The documentation was accurate. The compensation was earned.
And something shifted.
He began to understand how value is created.
That money follows contribution.
That structure matters.
This wasn’t about turning childhood into employment.
It was about integrating business and family intentionally.
The Ultimate Parent Philosophy
Traditional parenting separates childhood from economics.
Ultimate Parenting integrates them.
Financial judgment isn’t inherited.
It’s built — through responsibility, repetition, and structure.
Hire the Kids exists for business parents who believe:
• Responsibility builds confidence
• Participation builds understanding
• Structure builds stability
This is not about rushing childhood.
It’s about raising capable, confident young adults who understand how value works before adulthood arrives.
Because the greatest legacy isn’t income.
It’s understanding.
01
My Vision
To redefine legacy as a practical system—not a vague idea—where children learn how money works early, build assets with intention, and never have to start from zero.
02
My Mission
To equip business-owning parents with a clear, legal framework—SIRE, HIRE, ACQUIRE, RETIRE, LEAVE AN EMPIRE—that turns everyday business operations into real financial education and long-term family wealth.
03
My Goal
To help parents use their home-based businesses to lower taxes, reduce debt, create earned income for their children, fund long-term assets, and pass down a repeatable system that strengthens their family’s financial future for generations.
what i did
I Wrote A book About my Experience
I was surprised at how much my kid could do for my small business. Shredding, filing, downloading statements, and much more. He gets paid an income, and I get the tax benefits. This is a win-win situation for any entrepreneur with a small business or side hustle.
My ACHIEVEMENT
The Parental Journey will open your mind to the idea of hiring your kids and the Parental Guide will give you the steps to get started. Get them both!
